Tuned 2020 Ford Explorer ST Runs 12.42 Quarter Mile at 109 MPH

Running on 50% ethanol (E50), this tuned 2020 Ford Explorer ST may just be the fastest Explorer on the planet. It’s pretty much stock. Our friends at 5 Star Tuning accomplished this feat by avoiding the addition of any hardware. No special turbochargers, no changes to the running gear at all. It’s all in the tuning and the addition of a E50 blend in the gas tank.

That’s it.

How fast, you ask? According to 5 Star Tuning, it ran a 12.42 quarter mile at 109 miles-per-hour. To put that into perspective, the 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt just tested has a quarter mile time around 12.9 seconds going 112.5 mph.
