Jed Dailey’s 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe

Jed Dailey’s Mustang Story:

“I was 9 years old when the Ford Mustang was first introduced in 1964. I immediately fell in love with the car. My dad did not have to ask me what make and model I wanted for my first car. On May 22, 1973, and just before my high school graduation, dad purchased my 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe for $550 from Worthington Ford in Worthington, Ohio. My Mustang was manufactured on August 15, 1964, in Dearborn, Michigan. It was a one-owner car. It has a Wimbledon White exterior with a red interior. It is equipped with a 289 cubic-inch V-8 engine, a 2-barrel carburetor and a Cruise-O-Matic automatic Transmission. The original list price was $2,865.98.

“My 50th high school reunion was this year – in 2023. My ownership of the Mustang will also be for 50 years. I think it is very rare for someone to be celebrating his 50th high school reunion and still have his first car in his possession. I have enjoyed this car for the past 50 years!”
