Yearly oil changes.

Known Issues:

1. The idle at operating temperature is set to 1000 RPM. If it sits for an extended period at a traffic light with the idle below 800 RPM, the car stalls. It will start right back up with no problem. I haven’t been able to figure it out, but the 1000 RPM idle has been my workaround. Someone with better knowledge on carburetors and ignition systems may know what to do.

2. The speedometer is inaccurate above ~45mph. Please note, the Odometer (mileage) works and ticks properly, so the mileage is accurate. I've had it apart and determined that the tiny bearing holding the needle is wore out. This just happened last year, and I haven't had time to fix it.

3. The wire plug powering the Pioneer head unit are not making great contact anymore, and it tends to shut off when driving over bumps. When it’s on, it works great, and all 6 Polk Audio speakers sound great. The pictures show wiring where I had a 3-Channel amp and tube woofer installed. I borrowed it from my dad, but he needed it back. I've taped and labeled the wires, so installing a new amp and subwoofer will be straightforward.

4. Two 1/4" wheel spacers were required to fit the Front SVE wheel caps over the dust caps, but the lug bolts were not long enough to get enough thread for the lug nuts with the spacers installed. I haven’t had time to install longer lug bolts.

Why Am I Selling?

I have a family now and have not had the time to enjoy the car like I once used to and need to sell it. It is a very fun car, and I will miss it!

If it helps to know, the proceeds from the sale will go toward my restoration of a 1976 Ford F-250 that my family and I can enjoy together.
