Justin Choi's 2020 "Mystichrome" Ford GT
This 2020 Ford GT is painted in a color dubbed Mystichrome and it might just be the most eye-catching of its kind on earth.
The car is owned by tech entrepreneur Justin Choi and was recently featured on an episode of Donut Media’s Bumper 2 Bumper. A number of different Ford GTs out there have unique paint jobs, but this one takes things to the next level.
Dearborn first introduced the Mystichrome (Mystic) on the 1996 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra. The paint seems to shift its appearance depending on the angle at which it is viewed, giving off hues of blue, green, violet, magenta, gold, and even brown. The color got its name from chrome exhaust headers which change color to purple, blue and green over time after getting hot.
The lucky few applications given the go-ahead to actually purchase the latest-generation GT had many standard colors to choose from, but could also order custom shades. This particular example went for Mystichrome, which cost him a whopping $100,000 on top of the car’s starting price. On the other hand, it is the only one sporting this paint job, and Ford says it won’t build another.
