For Sale: 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback (maroon, 427ci V8, 4-speed)
This 1968 Ford Mustang was built as a C-code fastback at Ford’s Metuchen, New Jersey, facility and was reportedly purchased from the original owner by the seller’s father in 1973. It was then modified with the installation of a 427ci V8, a four-speed manual transmission, and a 9″ rear axle with a Detroit Locker. The car is finished in maroon over a dark red interior and is equipped with an oil cooler, a Hurst shifter, and Holley carburetors. This Mustang fastback is now offered with spare parts and Rhode Island registration in the seller’s name.
