Richard Hammond Drives 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1

The lovable car host couldn’t contain his excitement when taking the Mach 1 for a spin, which hits the European market next year.

We all know Richard Hammond. Formerly of Top Gear and currently on The Grand Tour, Hammond is part of the trio that also includes James May and Jeremy Clarkson. And via the DriveTribe YouTube channel, Hammond has got a real treat in store for us. He has been allowed to take the brand new 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 out for a spin, the most performance-based Mustang to ever land on European soil. It might look like a regular Mustang, but that could not be further from the truth.

The Mach 1 comes with many refinements and a whole host of performance parts from the equally awesome Shelby GT350. Under the hood of the Mach 1, is a 5.0-liter V8 engine, that pumps out 454 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque as well. And as Hammond points out, the car is littered with design cues that hark back to the original Mach 1 editions. The stance for one and the headlights are hooded, to give it an aggressive Mustang frown. The graphical treatment Hammond says is quite similar to the original as well.
