For Sale: 1965 Ford Mustang GT350R Tribute Fastback (289ci V8, 4-speed)
This 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback was acquired by the seller two decades ago and has since been built into a GT350R tribute. Work included stripping the shell to bare metal and sending it to Harry Willett for repair and modification. The exterior was repainted in Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue stripes, and the interior is equipped with a low-back competition seat for the driver and R-style gauges from Tony Branda. The 289ci V8 is backed by a four-speed Toploader transmission and equipped with a four-barrel Holley carburetor, big-block Galaxie radiator, ported and polished HiPo cylinder heads, and tri-Y exhaust headers. Additional modifications include front disc brakes from Cobra Automotive, Strange Engineering rear end gears, Moser axles, and Hoosier tires. This Mustang is now offered with spare parts, records, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.
