For Sale: 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 (Candy Apple Red, 429ci V8, 4-speed)
This 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 is one of 857 Sportsroof examples produced for the model year. Assigned Kar Kraft number KK1874, the car was built on May 28, 1969 and was reportedly used as a daily driver and family runabout by its original owners until 1973, after which it remained with them in storage. In 1988 it was acquired from the original owners by the seller, who has since preserved it as a non-running project stored in his garage.
The car retains its original 429ci V8 as well as its original color combination of Candy Apple Red over a Deluxe black vinyl interior. Additional Boss 429-specific equipment includes a close-ratio four-speed manual transmission, a Traction-Lok differential, and competition suspension. Other factory features include power front disc brakes, power steering, a trunk-mounted battery, a shallow front spoiler, thermactor pollution control equipment, and much more.
Missing equipment that will need to be acquired to complete the project includes the Holley carburetor, seven-blade engine fan assembly, 3.91:1 rear axle gear set, Autolite Sta-ful heavy-duty battery, Autolite vented battery cap kit, Carter 3-Port smog canister, and Magnum 500 wheels.
This Boss 429 is accompanied by a collection of provenance-related documents including the original Ford window sticker and original Eminger-Ford invoices, an Elite Marti Report, original owner’s materials, and a logbook from the first owner. It is now offered in Surrey, British Columbia with a collection of spare parts and British Columbia registration in the seller’s name.
