1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Made out of Wood

1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Made out of Wood

This Mustang comes to us via YouTube channel Woodworking Art , and was made out of wood and closely mimics the design of a 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.

After drawing out the basic shape of the car into two pieces of wood, the model is cut. From there, two pieces of wood are attached to the sides of the car. The expert craftsman then proceeds to carve out the roof section of the classic American muscle car before using a chisel and a saw to work some of the finer details, including the front fascia and rear end, followed by the trunklid and hood — even the power bulge on the hood is replicated.

After crafting the doors, the YouTuber cuts out sections to slot in the windshield and the rear window. He even goes to the trouble of creating a tiny replica gas cap and then begins the difficult task of forming the front fascia, including the grille. The replica is made all impressive by the fact that it even has a complete interior, including a manual shifter, as well as an engine that’s also been carved out of wood.
