This 1989 Ford “Saleen” Mustang hatchback is serial number 451, and it is one of 895 Saleen-modified examples produced for the 1989 model year. It is powered by a 5.0-liter High-Output V8 paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a Traction-Lok differential, and features include Saleen bodywork finished in black, 16″ five-lug wheels, Racecraft suspension components, and interior appointments as well as cruise control, air conditioning, gray cloth upholstery, power windows and locks, and a Pioneer stereo. Modifications include an aluminum radiator, an aftermarket X-pipe exhaust system equipped with BBK catalytic converters and Flowmaster mufflers, and an aluminum driveshaft sourced from Ford Performance. The car was first delivered to Miller Ford in Fairfield, Connecticut, and it was owned by collector Colin Comer before being acquired by the selling dealer in May 2021.
