For Sale: 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible (Poppy Red, 289ci V8, 4-speed)
This 1965 Ford Mustang convertible was built in September 1964 and left the factory finished in Poppy Red over white vinyl. The car is powered by a 289ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and equipment includes a power-operated white soft top, 14″ wheels, power-assisted drum brakes, a cupholder console, a push-button radio, and a CD player located in the glovebox. The seller acquired the car in 2019 from its reported previous owner of 22 years, and subsequent work has included rebuilding the engine, carburetor, transmission, and radiator as well as replacing the starter, clutch and flywheel, battery, and master cylinder. This first-generation Mustang is now offered with service records, spare parts, and a clean Massachusetts title in the seller’s name.
