S650 Ford Mustang Production Expected To Start In March 2023

With the current S550 Mustang on sale since 2015, many would have expected the 7th Generation of the popular pony car to have already arrived. Well, according to a new report from Autoline you’ll have to wait a little bit longer as the S650 Ford Mustang is forecasted to enter production in March of 2023.

The information was provided by AutoForecast Solutions, a large provider of global automotive forecasting databases, business planning solutions, and pipeline support. With the S650 Ford Mustang expected to start rolling down the line at Flat Rock Assembly come spring 2023, Ford is due to show us the 7th Generation goods towards the end of 2022.
The word on the street is that the S650 Mustang won’t be getting an entirely new platform; rather, it will mark an evolution of the current S550. When it enters production in March of 2023, the 7th Generation S650 Ford Mustang will be more of a hardcore refresh than a completely rethought product. That’s what the Mach-E was for, it turns out.
