The 825-HP 2021 Ford Mustang Shelby Super Snake Speedster Costs $138,780
Reading over the press release for Shelby's 2021 models, nothing in particular stuck out … until I got to the pricing for the Super Snake. The base model costs $133,785, and this new limited-edition Speedster costs $138,740. Yes, that's more the cost of two fully loaded Mustang Mach 1s.
So what do you get for your money? For starters, an 825-hp supercharged 5.0-liter V8 and uprated half-shafts and cooling hardware, a Borla exhaust, and a host of exterior and interior tweaks. A six-speed manual is standard, while a 10-speed automatic is optional. The Speedster Edition is new for 2021 and adds a tonneau cover over the rear seats. In honor of what would be Carroll Shelby's 98th year, 98 examples of the regular Super Snake (available as coupe or convertible) and 98 examples of the Speedster will be built. You'll also be able to order your Super Snake Speedster with a wide-body kit — as seen here — Penske racing suspension, painted stripes, and a rear-seat delete.
