Ella Bevard's 2012 Ford Mustang GT
For Ford enthusiasts, there’s nothing like a good Mustang story, especially when it involves a father and his daughter. But does a little girl lose her interest in cars when her car-guy father passes away? Not if that girl turns out to be 12-year-old Ella Bevard. Ella grew up in a Ford family and even drove a PowerWheels Mustang Boss 302, until her father had purchased a new silver Mustang GT in 2012 and converted Ella’s Mustang to look like his. After Joe Bevard’s sudden passing and the subsequent sale of the car a few years ago, Ella’s mom and stepdad noticed how losing both Joe and his Mustang had affected Ella, so they decided to see if they could find the Mustang and buy it back for her until she’s old enough to drive it. You just have to read this story (below) to see how some heavenly guidance may have helped keep Ella in the Mustang enthusiast community for a lifetime:
“My name is Chrissy Bevard. My daughter, Ella, received the biggest surprise of her life recently with the help of her daddy in heaven: Her stepdad and I were able to pull off a miracle for her. When her father had graduated from the steamfitter apprenticeship school in 2012, we celebrated by buying him a new Ford Mustang. This car became part of his identity; if you knew Joe Bevard, you knew that this silver 2012 GT was his Mustang. He put so much work into it and loved taking all of the kids to the racetrack, even after our divorce.
“A few weeks before he passed away, I signed the title over so that he could sell the car. I didn’t ask questions. Our daughter Ella loved his Mustang and had so many good memories with her dad in it that after he died, I felt it in my heart that if the opportunity presented itself and I was able to find the car, I would buy it back to hold onto it for her. But what were the chances of ever finding it?
“Recently I just had a feeling that I should start looking for the car online, and within a few minutes I found it! I couldn’t believe my eyes! It wasn’t just a car that looked like Joe’s 2012 Mustang — it was actually his car, listed for sale just 4 hours away! I can’t even put into words how it feels to have found it and to do this for her and her late father. I think he wanted her to have his car so that she could continue the memories they started. I really believe he led me to it — of all the silver 2012 Ford Mustang GTs around to find his actual car listed for sale is a miracle. I’m so happy our little girl gets this blessing; she deserves this happiness!”
