For Sale: 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe (red, 200ci I6, 3-speed auto)

This 1965 Ford Mustang coupe was built in May 1965 in Metuchen, New Jersey and delivered to the Boston, Massachusetts ordering district. The seller’s grandfather reportedly purchased the car in 1980, and the seller became the owner in 1989 at age 14. In 1990 the car was refinished in red over black, at which time rust repair was performed. A 200ci inline-six is paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and other equipment includes 14″ wheels, rocker-panel trim, a third brake light, and a JVC cassette player. The oil was changed in 2018, and service in 2013 consisted of rebuilding the carburetor, adjusting the valves, and replacing the brake master cylinder, shifter bushings, and fuel tank. This first-generation Mustang is now offered with service records dating back to 1990 and a clean Massachusetts title in the seller’s name.
