For Sale: 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible (red, white rocker stripes, 289ci V8, 3-speed auto)
This 1966 Ford Mustang convertible was reportedly sold new from Miracle Ford in Dallas, Texas, and was acquired by the current owner in late 2019 from the widow of the previous owner, who acquired it in the mid-1970s. The car was repainted in the late 1970s, at which time a replacement 289ci V8 with a Shelby intake manifold and a dual-point distributor was installed. Finished in red over black with a white convertible soft top, the car is equipped with a three-speed automatic transmission, 14″ styled steel wheels, front disc brakes, power steering, dual exhaust, fog lights, a black boot cover, a cassette player, and air conditioning. Work under current ownership has included repairing rust in the driver-side floor and rocker panel as well as servicing the carburetor and air conditioning, replacing the heater core, and changing the fluids. This first-generation Mustang convertible is now offered on dealer consignment with an owner’s manual, a jack, and a clean Texas title.
