For Sale: 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback “Hugger Mugger” (red, modified, 336ci V8, 4-speed)
This 1965 Ford Mustang is a K-code fastback that was sold new by Schnurmacher Ford of Baldwin, New York and was sponsored by Motion Performance in the late 1960s and early 1970s, when it was drag-raced on New York’s Long Island. The car raced with “Hugger Mugger” lettering, which was redone when the vehicle was refinished in approximately 2005 following a long period of storage under original ownership. Power comes from an overbored 336ci V8 that was built around 2009 and is paired with a four-speed Toploader manual transmission. Other equipment includes mismatched 14″ and 15″ wheels with drag slicks out back, front disc brakes, a line-lock system, modified control arms, chassis bracing, and traction bars as well as a black interior with a roll bar, a Moroso tachometer, additional Stewart-Warner gauges, and a Hurst shifter. The seller acquired the car in 2019. This modified Mustang is now offered with a removed intake manifold with dual Holley carburetors, a build sheet, a dealer invoice, 1965 sales paperwork, an OwnerCard, various magazines, vintage photos, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
