For Sale: 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Fastback (Lime Gold, 428ci V8, 4-speed, 33K miles)
This 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 was built on December 12, 1966 and is one of 2,048 fastback examples produced for the model year. Sold new by Paradise Ford in Scottsdale, the car spent time in Arizona, Tennessee, and New Jersey before being acquired in 2010 by Ohio Mustang specialist Glenn Benza, who carried out a mechanical reconditioning. It was then purchased as a gift for the current owner upon his inauguration as king of his country in 2016, after which a repaint was commissioned to return the car to its original shade of Lime Gold. During the ownership of His Royal Highness the car has resided in San Diego and Arizona, where it has been in the seller’s care since 2019. Power is provided by a 428ci “Police Interceptor” V8 with twin four-barrel Holley carburetors, and shifting is through a numbers-matching four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a 3.50:1 Traction-Lok differential, power front disc brakes, a competition suspension package, power steering, and a Deluxe black knitted vinyl interior. This Shelby GT500 is listed in the SAAC registry and is accompanied by an Elite Marti Report and copies of its original window sticker, dealer invoice, order document, and Special Vehicle Order specifications sheets. It is now offered on behalf of the current owner with an owner’s manual, a 1973 Arizona license plate, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
