This 1989 Ford Mustang GT convertible is one of three prototype cars made in conjunction with Automotive Concepts of Fort Worth, Texas under contract with racing driver Emerson Fittipaldi, and it was further modified by Kenny Brown Racing and exhibited at the 1988 SEMA Show. The car is finished in black with a black convertible top over a black leather interior and is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes Recaro seats, a Hurst shifter, electronically adjustable Koni shocks, Fitti 15″ wheels, etched glass, fog lights, a rear wing, a Blaupunkt AM/FM/cassette/CD stereo, dual exhaust outlets, and Fittipaldi Équipé badging. The seller acquired the car in Texas from its original private owner in 2016. This Phase II Fittipaldi Équipé Mustang is now offered with a copy of Mustang Illustrated featuring the car, recent service records, an uninstalled Blaupunkt CD stereo, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
