For Sale: 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback (blue, modified, supercharged 5.0L "Coyote Aluminator" V8, 6-speed)
This 1969 Ford Mustang fastback was extensively modified for SCCA club racer Phil Heacock by Allison’s Rod & Custom of Shelbyville, Kentucky. The three-year project was completed in October 2014 and involved customizing the exterior and interior, as well as installing a TCI Engineering front clip with rack-and-pinion steering. Power is provided by a 5.0-liter “Coyote Aluminator” V8 crate engine that has been fitted with a Whipple supercharger. The car was designed for track and autocross work, and as a result the suspension and braking systems were upgraded with adjustable coilover shocks, Wilwood brakes, and 18″ multi-piece wheels. Additional equipment includes a Tremec six-speed manual transmission, a 9″ rear axle with Torsen differential, power steering, an eight-point roll cage, Sparco sport seats and harnesses, Dakota VHX gauges, and Vintage Air air conditioning. The project was profiled by Ford Muscle in February 2015, and the owner acquired the car in May 2020. This pro-touring Mustang Fastback is now offered on dealer consignment in Connecticut with a photo book and a clean South Carolina title.
