For Sale: 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback (burgundy, white stripes, modified, 302ci V8, 4-speed manual)
This 1968 Ford Mustang fastback was modified in the style of a GT350 in the early 2000s and underwent a mechanical refreshment in 2018. Work included rebuilding the four-speed manual transmission, replacing the clutch assembly, flywheel, and steering column, performing electrical repairs, and installing a power-assisted rack and pinion steering gear along with Hotchkis suspension components. The car is finished in burgundy with white stripes over a black interior, and power is provided by a 302ci V8 that has been modified with an Edelbrock intake manifold, tubular headers, and a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. Additional modifications include polished Torq Thrust wheels, ProCar bucket seats, a roll bar, and a Hurst shifter. This modified Mustang fastback was acquired by the seller in 2020 and is now offered with photos from the body work, a maintenance spreadsheet from 2018, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
