Behind the development of every Ford Performance vehicle lies a team of highly trained engineers who work tirelessly to provide the highest performing vehicles to have ever worn the Ford badge. At the lead of those teams these days is none other than Carl Widmann, Chief Engineer of Ford Performance. Widmann has worked on several high-visibility Ford nameplates, including the S550 Mustang Bullitt, the Gen 3 F-150 Raptor, and the 2020 Shelby GT500, just to name a few. Earlier this spring, Widmann chose to pick up a piece of the collector-car pie by taking delivery of one of his own projects, a 2021 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack, in Antimatter Blue, VIN 0002, from Gorno Ford in Woodhaven, Michigan.
