Randy Sommers' Mustang Story:
Randy Sommers waited eight years to start restoring his 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1.
But even after he finished it, he had to wait even more.
Sommers, of the Village of Liberty Park, FL, bought the car in 2003. However, his wife asked him to not do too many restorations until their kids were all graduated by 2011.
“Christmas and Father’s Day gifts were always car parts, so I at least got to do some subtle work,” Sommers said. “But I started the full restoration in 2011, and it took about three years from tear down to completion.”
