Shelby American Revives the GT350 Name for an 810-HP Beast

Shelby American revealed a new GT350 and GT350R, with their supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 making 810 and 830-plus horsepower, respectively.
The GT350R is a street-legal track toy featuring plenty of carbon fiber, aggressive aerodynamics, and an integrated roll cage.
The latest GT350 isn't built by Ford, but it gets Ford's powertrain warranty and will be sold through the brand's dealers; the supercharged GT350 starts at $109,999.
Nearly 60 years ago, the legendary Carroll Shelby unveiled the first Ford Mustang to bear his name, the Shelby GT350, kicking off a long line of Shelby-branded, high-performance pony cars. Now the Shelby GT350 name has returned, but this powerful beast isn't a Ford factory effort. Instead, the new GT350 comes from Shelby American, a descendant of Shelby's original shop. And, predictably, the new GT350 is no slouch.
