Witness the Shelby in its natural environment: Obliterating a racetrack. We brought the Mustang Shelby GT500 to Lime Rock Park as part of our 2021 Performance Car of the Year testing, and had the chance to see exactly what it can do at full tilt.
It was, in a word, mesmerizing. The Shelby put down a 59.26-second lap around Lime Rock, the only car in this year's PCOTY roster to break the one-minute barrier. And remember, this was on a slightly longer track configuration that includes the tricky right-left-right chicane at the Uphill, robbing any speed gathered on No Name Straight.
