For Sale: 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible (Signal Flare Red, 289ci V8, 3-speed auto)
This 1966 Ford Mustang convertible was delivered new to the San Jose, California sales district and was acquired by the seller in late 2015 following a refurbishment that was carried out under previous ownership. Work included refinishing the car in Signal Flare Red over a black interior, and power comes from a replacement 289ci V8 paired with a three-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission and a 2.80:1 rear end. Equipment includes a power-operated replacement black soft top, styled wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, an upgraded front sway bar, a Shelby-style export brace and Monte Carlo bar, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, Pertronix electronic ignition, driving lights, a luggage rack, LED taillights, power steering, a Rally-Pac tachometer, and a retro-style head unit. Work since 2020 is said to have included flushing the fluids, updating electrical relays, and replacing the windshield, the starter, and spark plugs. This Mustang convertible is offered with a black boot cover, a removed Philco AM radio, manufacturer’s literature, service records from current ownership, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
