This 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR is one of 1,053 “King of the Road” fastback models produced during a three-month period from May through July of 1968. The car was built in May and delivered to Alberta, Canada, where it was sold by Healy Motors LTD in Edmonton. A refurbishment was completed in 2014, and the car was acquired by its current owner in 2020. Power comes from a replacement 428ci Cobra Jet V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and the car is finished in Raven Black over black knitted vinyl. Additional equipment includes a 3.50:1 Traction-Lok differential, front disc brakes, replacement 15″ alloy wheels, and power steering as well as air conditioning and the Interior Décor and Visibility Group packages. This Shelby GT500KR is now offered on dealer consignment in Florida with records, a spare Philco AM radio, an Elite Marti Report, a build sheet, an owner’s manual, and a clean Montana title.
